What is Microblading?
Microblading works by mimicking the natural hair strokes of the eyebrow using a hand held tool & colour pigment.
The first initial treatment the eyebrows are measured precisely to fit the face, then drawn on to establish the final shape. After both the client and the therapist are happy the first pass of hair strokes begin.
Following the first pass, the area is numbed with anaesthetic and the hair strokes are reinforced and pigment is left on the skin to set in. The excess pigment is then wiped away and you are left with beautiful, natural brows.
How many treatments are necessary?
Two treatments are required for maximum results. After the first treatment, the area will heal over and may begin to scab, through this process up to 60% of the colour is lost, this is then reinforced at the top up session 6 weeks later. Eyebrows should then last between 12-24 months depending on lifestyle and skin type.
Is the treatment painful?
Treatment can be mildly uncomfortable however topical anaesthetic is used to relieve discomfort.
Who is suitable for treatment?
Microblading is suitable for most skin types and ages. There are a variety of pigments to choose from which will match your individual colouring for the most natural result.
