What is Lip Enhancement?
One of the most popular of all Aesthetic Treatments! It’s an injectable Dermal Filler treatment used to add volume and shape to your lips. Dermal Fillers are Hyaluronic Acid based and because this is a substance that is naturally occurring in the human body, an allergic reaction is very rare.
Providing the treatment is being performed by a fully qualified professional with a great understanding of facial anatomy, it’s a relatively safe treatment that gives lots of people a great confidence boost!
How many treatments are necessary?
This much depends on what your lips are like before treatment and what you would like to achieve so it varies a lot between clients. Some clients have naturally thin lips and just want a little more volume without them looking unnatural, others just love that full looking pout and require two or possibly three sessions to get to their desired look. We always advise our clients to be patient, building up filler gradually always brings better results, especially if you are looking for a good size increase. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your desired look and expectations, we can then determine what is the best route for you.
Is the treatment painful?
Again, this varies between clients as some are simply more sensitive but we use a topical numbing cream before every treatment, this numbs the skin surface before we start. The Dermal Filler that we use also contains lidocaine which is a pain relief ingredient. This keeps clients a lot more comfortable during the procedure and its very rare that anyone has a problem with the pain.
How long does the treatment last?
Lip fillers can last from three to six months but it varies between clients depending on lifestyle and metabolism etc.
